Description: Kuiper’s Dream
Gleaming cosmic bodies twinkle and drift serenely until Neptune’s powerful, gravitational kick flings them into the inner abyss, to be corralled into orbit by Jupiter or fated to wander amongst the asteroids and sleeping comets. Hubble stitches (from the new planet) create several different beaded elements, conspiring together gravitationally to wend a beautifully draped pathway. Kuiper’s Dream comprises 9 different elements, some elaborate and some simpler, but the constant theme within them is Hubble stitch. We will be working with a lovely variety of the sub-techniques, such as lonely Hubbles on the ‘Satellite’, Double Hubble angles on ‘Neptune’, the ropes, and a cuff made with Interference Wave Hubble, and ‘Jupiter’ (my fave) which incorporates Bubble Hubble!
Techniques: Basic Hubble, 3-Drop Hubble, Hubble-in-the-round, Interference Wave Hubble, Right Angle Weave (RAW), Ladder stitch.
