Heather Kingsley-Heath - Annecy
Time & Location
About the Event
The lake at Annecy is the most beautiful turquoise blue, and the medieval
buildings reflected in the waters were the inspiration for this pendant design.
Constructed and layered, then embellished with tiny (pp21) Swarovski
crystal mesh elements. If crystal mesh is not available, it can be substituted
with 1mm, 1.5mm or 2mm crystals. The pendant hangs from a metal chain
intersected with beaded beads attached with jump rings. This design is
worked with size 11 and 15 seed beads, not brand specific but, the seed
beads do need to be consistently sized. The techniques used to create
the Annecy pendant can be easily adapted to create a range of gorgeous
bracelets and necklaces.
Skill level: intermediate, must be confident with thread tension and able to
make thread path and direction changes.
Techniques: Albion Stitch, Netting, Right Angle Weave.
