Laura Embrey​

Laura Embrey is a beadwork artist and designer based in Cheshire, UK. She creates jewellery for competitions as well as designs for tutorials and classes. Laura loves all things sparkly and her designs feature lots of crystals and intricate seed beaded patterns.

 

Laura has been beading since the age of 12 when she discovered her first jewellery magazine. Having built a wide repertoire of skills over many years, Laura now enjoys creating tutorials for Beadingschool by Erika Sandor and for her Etsy shop. She loves to pass on her knowledge to other beaders, and teaches classes of her beautiful designs.

 

Laura has won several prizes and competitions for her beadwork. She was honoured to be the winner of Battle of the Beadsmith Competition in 2025, as well as runner up in the BoTB Earrings competition in 2023, and a semifinalist of the main Battle in 2024. She won third prize twice in the Firemountaingems Jewelry Contest and she won the Jewelry Category in the Museum of Beadwork Challenge, where her work has been exhibited. She has also exhibited work in Japan.
