Get to Know…
May Brisebois
Specialty - Bead Weaving
May’s journey into bead artistry began with curiosity—and quickly grew into a lifelong creative passion. After immigrating to the United States in 1999, she discovered beading in 2001 and became captivated by the possibilities within tiny beads, thread, and technique. Her eagerness to learn soon led her to teach and work at a local bead store, where she could share that growing passion with others.
In 2006, May opened BEADiful in North Georgia, creating a welcoming destination for jewelry-making classes, supplies, and creative exploration. After 12 successful years, she closed the storefront and moved with her family to Massachusetts to care for aging family members.
Today, May has transformed BEADiful into an online business and focuses her creative energy on original beadwork design. Inspired by storytelling, she blends techniques and artistic influences from East and West, creating distinctive designs that celebrate the traditions of off-loom bead weaving while exploring where imagination, culture, and technique can lead.
