The Inca Empire, which thrived from the 13th to the 16th century, was a vast and powerful civilization located in the Andes Mountains of South America, encompassing present-day Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and parts of Colombia, Chile, and Argentina.

Inti, the sun god, held immense significance in the religious beliefs of the Inca civilization. Considered the most important deity, Inti was believed to be the ancestor of the Inca rulers and the protector of the Inca people.  The Inca emperor, known as the Sapa Inca, was believed to be the son of Inti and held divine status. The ruler was responsible for maintaining a harmonious relationship with the sun god and ensuring the well-being of the empire and its people.
