Kim Stathis - Elegant Elements Necklace

Description

Elegant Elements Necklace features a richly textured Pendant constructed in multiple layers. The bezeled rectangular crystal stone part of the pendant has an outside of the area of beadwork built out on all four sides of the bezel creating a framed area. The frame is folded over and attached to the originating bezel holding the rectangular stone. A bezeled crystal drop hangs from the bottom of the pendant using curved herringbone supports. The necklace straps are made using a double right-angle weave stitch with connecting segments of bezeled pearls.  A circular dimensional peyote ring attaches the pendant to the necklace straps. The closure is a double-connected handmade set of bezeled pearls. Tiny round crystals and pearls of varying sizes are used throughout the design to add a polished elegant look.

Stitches used – This workshop uses peyote, herringbone, and double right-angle weave stitches.
