Description

Imagine a dark but starry night, sitting under a willow tree. The frogs are singing, the moon is shining, there are water lilies and duckweed, and the scent of night-blooming jasmine mixed with fresh cut grass being carried by the breeze. Suddenly a head pops out of the water and the eyes looking right into your soul. Are you a fish? Are you a frog? A magical moment captured for sure.

The critter that started this project is Wayne Robbins' lil fish dude. It was love at first sight and I am so glad Wayne obliged when I asked him to make me these magical critters. The flower is from Anna Bronze and while it's not a water lily per se, when i saw it, I knew I wanted to pair it with the pond boy and it worked out well for both of them.

The swirling leaves under these two components are antique jade from a friend's family's estate of antique French jewelry business. Truly remarkable and irreplaceable, very old too.

Other noteworthy components are freshwater pearls, memory thread - a material no longer in production, adding to the very limited nature of the class kits. A gorgeous, mossy-looking velvet cord makes this suitable for every neck size and adds softness, warmth and good feels to the composition.

Skill level: This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced bead embroiderers and bead weavers. If you are a proficient bead weaver and you want to get into bead embroidery, you are most welcome. If you haven't done any beadweaving or bead embroidery, this class is not an ideal starting point.

Kits are mandatory and available from the instructor $195 

To attend this event, you will need either a laptop or tablet along with the Zoom Application which can easily be downloaded for either Windows, Apple, or Android devices and an internet connection.  After registering and paying for your class, you will be sent a link to the class the week of the workshop.

Class space is confirmed upon receipt of payment. There are no class refunds unless the class is canceled by SocialBeadia.  If you need to cancel, you may transfer your spot to another student, or you will receive all instructional materials and the option to purchase a kit if available.
