Melissa Shippee - Sea Fauna Bracelet 1/5-1/6 Two 3-hour sessions

Description:  

Create a unique work of wearable art using a combination of seed beads, German glass cabochons, and silk dupioni fabric using a variety of bead embroidery techniques. This ocean-inspired bracelet invokes the shapes, colors, and patterns of under-sea life with its colorful beads and sea creature-shaped components.

This class will be conducted in two 3-hour sessions January 5th and 6th 12noon - 3pm each day.

Skill level: Intermediate 

Techniques: Bead embroidery, Brick stitch, 

Materials: Preciosa crystal stones, sew-on metal settings, Preciosa crystal banding, Japanese seed beads, nonwoven stitching base, Ultrasuede or cork fabric backing 

Students should bring: Fabric glue, size 10-12 beading needles, embroidery needles, choice of beading thread to coordinate with the kit color selected; Lighting/Magnification, your usual beading supplies

Kits are not mandatory but are available from the instructor $70 + shipping

To attend this event, you will need either a laptop or tablet along with the Zoom Application which can easily be downloaded for either Windows, Apple, or Android devices, and a good internet connection.  After registering and paying for your class, you will be sent a link to the online class the week of the workshop.

Class space is confirmed upon receipt of payment. There are no class refunds unless the class is canceled by SocialBeadia.  If you need to cancel, you may transfer your spot to another student, or you will receive all instructional materials and the option to purchase a kit if available.
