Bead Weaving

I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic.   I first studied architecture and fashion Jewelry design, then started to work as a designer and teacher in 2002, first in my studio and then for Altos de Chavon, (a partner of Parsons university in Latin America) and later in different places in the USA and South America. I started working with different techniques such as metalsmithing, resin, wire jewelry, polymer, and metal clay, but in 2010 I met the beading world and it was fascinating for me.  I am still doing different techniques, but for me, the beadwork gives the opportunity to use a great variety of colors and create new shapes, and textures. I also love the fashion world and I have a background working with fashion designers. I really enjoy teaching and sharing everything with my students.  As a Caribbean, I enjoy using colors and giving joy to the people through them.  As an architect, I try to use my sense of space and shape. I also love photography as a hobby and the arts in general.
